Finally got my room organized for the most part. Starting the new year off right and now I am ready to show you all my classroom.

Here is the tour.

This is the front of my classroom. My co-worker's son was watching a movie with my one of my daugthers. LOL.

This is the view of the side. Front door, calendar wall, and my coat closet. Because not all the outlets in my room work, I had to block off part of the coat closet to put the listening center near a working outlet.
(It was near the computers but after christmas I had a power outage in my room. Too many things plugged in one spot.)

I just redid my library. I labeled all my books (they tend to grow legs and walk away at times). I am still looking for more purple baskets, but haven't found any yet (got to love the dollar store, but when you see things you have to get it quick). Students get to check out book from the take home bins on the floor. They write the title on an index card and place the card in the number pockets on the side of the shelf.

Here is my word wall and small group area. This table is never clean. I use my table more than my desk, so it stays pretty messy when I'm not working with students.

My daughter working on math her facts on my board.

Wanted to also show some of my anchor charts. I got the idea to laminate them my one of my teacher friends.

Hope you like my room.

Come back to see all the amazing TpT products I use in my classroom. I will be giving shout out to those creative minds that made them.

Love,

Andrea

OMG!!! Finally. I have literally been playing around with this blog all day LOL. Trying to figure out how to add my own touch so it is not so generic. So after watching about a hundred youtube videos I have finally figured it out.

A little about me, I am 27 and I teach first grade. I never thought I would actually like teaching first grade as much as I do. While in school I did most of my work with third grade and above and student taught in fourth grade. I have been teaching first grade for two years and before that I was a long term sub for kindergarten. I have wanted to start a blog about my teaching journey for awhile, but I did not have the time to sit and play around with it to see what I am getting into. Since mother nature has given my school an extra week of winter break (three week break total whoop whoop) I saw that I had some extra time to learn something new :). Also about me out side of teaching, I have a wonderful soon to be husband and three beautiful little girls (nine, six, and 10 months) that keep me busy for the most part.

I love this profession and I want to share my ideas with you, so I hope that you all out there like hearing about what is going on with me and my teaching journey.

Any tips or advice is welcomed. I'm still learning.
